A New Direction

Ok, so I've been stewing about this for quite some time (based on the timestamp of this post vs the last, about 3 months), trying to figure out exactly what I want to do here. I had previously had some ideas based on things I had tried in the past. But I'm not sure that's how I want to approach things at this point.

So...?

So, I'm going to start trying a few new things. Probably going to keep this template around at least to start, but I really want to start working on the templating engine that Pelican uses, rather than try and retrofit/reverse-engineer someone else's work. I'll still use it for reference, for sure, but as soon as I can get my head wrapped around how to make things do things, I'll start phasing those bits out.

I'm really looking at figuring out how to get some interactive elements into this static templating style, because I've done that stuff before, WAY back in the early days of AJAX (remember that?). A quick look around suggests to me that those processes are still there, just have evolved since then.

I was also planning on leaning in to some AI/LLM stuff to help me build things, but I realized in testing some of that stuff out, that I really missed actually learning how to make stuff work. So I might leverage those kinds of resources for debugging what I'm building, but I really want to make it my own.

So, I know I've said this before, but it still holds true:

Stay tuned!
